How Are the Rankings in CS Go?

The spectrum of rankings in CSGO is wide, and only a few possess what it takes to earn it to the top. The Counter-Strike: Global Offensive ranking system is a game long time in development by Valve and has long been one of the most competitive games in the world. Throughout the years, this game has undergone numerous changes and refinements, making this game a consistently top-rated multiplayer online game. If you are serious about becoming a top ranked player in this competitive game, then read this.

There are three basic tiers in CS: GO, each ranging from global elite to bronze. The two skill groups are simple to understand and know. The global elite are players who are skilled in all aspects of CS: GO; these players possess great skill in all game modes and are extremely rare. A bronze player is good at playing on defense, is average at both offense and defense, has great fragility, and has good tactical skills. The ranks in csgo that are denoted as global elite are only accessible to players on the top twenty of their respective skill group.

The third, fourth, and fifth ranks in csgo are unlocked after players obtain a first rank. The best players are awarded with these ranks. It should be noted that it is nearly impossible to reach the sixth rank in a short period of time, or to obtain a first rank within a year. The competitive mode in CS: GO forces players to work together as a team. So players need to work their way up through the ranks, from silver, gold, platinum to teams with a higher level of play, earning first or second rank, etc.

The official ranking system of CS: GO is the matchmaking system used by Valve Corporation. This system allows players to form their own teams where they fight against other teams of the same rank. This ranking system was originally implemented as a test for the new Valve system, called the Valve Referendale. This test system was shown to have a high efficiency rate, but the major problem was that it caused several disruptions in matches; this caused players to abandon their accounts and stop playing the matchmaking. CS: GO update reduced the ranks that can be achieved by a team; however, this did not stop players from achieving a first or second rank.

In contrast to the previous versions of CS: GO, the matchmaking ranking system works differently today. Valve has introduced a number of changes to make the game more appealing to its players. Today, players have the opportunity to choose the team that they would want to join. Moreover, a smaller player base has made it difficult for a small minority of players to achieve a top rank.

Another major change in the matchmaking system works when players get a hit on their status bar. When a player gets a hit, they are moved to a lower status bar which shows their remaining time in the match. This is a measure that Valve uses to determine the effectiveness of a player's performance. The lesser time that players spend in this lower status bar, the better. The system also applies penalty to players who spend a large portion of their time in their main rank. These penalties to prevent a player from getting a lot of kills and assists, but it also affects their ability to get top ranks in CS: GO.
